“The Lunchbox”

My Rating: 3.86/4 (aka Must see)

One line summary: When a rare daily lunch delivery mistake occurs, we learn that “sometimes the wrong train can lead to the right station.”

The Deets: A very impressive debut from Indian filmmaker, Ritesh Batra. He manages to take a small story and elevate it, using the oldest communication device: the hand-written letter, which is sent back and forth between the main characters through the lunch containers. As soon as this one ended, I wanted to watch it all over again. Beautifully made.

Perfect for: Anyone looking for a rich but not cheesy romantic / life drama.

Where to watch: You can rent it wherever you love to stream (I opt for Prime).
