The Deets: When all of the reviews are positive, I am often skeptical, but this film is worthy of its praise. It is a seemingly simple story of a man in Iran who is trying to find a way out of prison and back to his family, seeking a way to repay the debt that caused his imprisonment. But as the narrative unfolds brilliantly, ego and honor and loyalty muddy the path to freedom. This one will stay with you, especially the last scene and final shot.

Perfect for: Anyone who loves great yet simple films, where the action is sparse but the human stakes are high.
