One line summary: Bradley Cooper’s remake (the fourth with the same name) of the powerful love story between two musical artists.

The Deets: This is the only version I have seen, so I can’t tell you which is my favorite. I also went in not really knowing what to expect. What I can tell you that is that I was transfixed – by the stellar performances and chemistry between Cooper and Lady Gaga (who should have won an Oscar) and the original music, which I sing as I continue to re-watch this film several years later. It may also have one of my favorite opening sequences ever, as Jackson Maine (Cooper) rocks out to “Black Eyes” in front of a screaming crowd. Sometimes love is so strong that it can only be expressed through song.

Perfect for: Music lovers, and if you’re down to watch an epic love story.

Where to watch: You gotta rent it. I bought it because I like to sing along.
