The Deets: I’m so glad this indie gem was “recommended” to me (probably because I love most food movies). It’s a small and local story of Juana, who discovers and falls in love with the art and precision of creating sushi. The film has heart and soul without being preachy, and never stops making you hungry.

Perfect for: Indie film lovers, sushi lovers, and if you like a feel-good story.
