“Limitless”

My Rating: 3.74/4 (aka A very fun watch)

One line summary: A mysterious clear pill unlocks the brain’s full potential.

The Deets: This was either my third or fourth time watching and I was grateful to have my daughter see it for the first time. She didn’t love it, but it is such an intriguing premise, it’s well-paced, and it raises just enough of the intellectual curiosity bar (what if there was actually a pill like this??!), so that you’re locked in, watching early Bradley Cooper do his pre-superstardom thing. And even though you have the hilarity of the Blackberry, the visual moves trying to be modern, it is really Cooper being electric and believable, and you kinda want to see the sequel when it ends with some satisfying guesswork that’s all part of the package.

Perfect for: Anyone who likes mind-benders, NYC flicks, and especially if you like to watch Bradley Cooper cook (but not the kind of cooking he does in “Burnt”).

Where to watch: And as of this writing, it’s included with Amazon Prime, get it!!

Food pairing: You won’t have much time to enjoy a snack here, so I think you go decaf coffee with some biscotti. Watch for crumbs.
